THE GRAND DINNER

Day 4 - 26 September 2017
It was held at the Sophia Restaurant. A restaurant we patronised quite frequently as it served palatable Halal food and comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate all of us.
At about 2000 hours we began our programme with an update by Burn on our members.

Since the last Reunion, recently, we lost Manan Jalil, we had an honours conferment of datoship to our President and Rahman Jabir, we were told that Ija, Arwah Khalid’s daughter was blessed with a baby boy and that Ismail Darus health condition has improved and that he was recuperating at home.
The Chairman of the Organising Committee gave a speech updating members of  the  planning that goes into this trip. He explained about the costs involved and of future plans. The President also gave a speech extolling the virtues of being members of Club 12/68. He felt proud that our club is one of the most active and the best-bonded. He felt proud that members took the trouble to participate by coming in from all corners of the region. He reminded members of our long history and that we should be sensitive towards each other as age was creeping up.
Dinner was served earlier and we took to the sumptuous array of food with gusto.

There was an attempt to dance the poco poco but it was short-lived due to the inability to procure the correct song. There was an attempt to get Mike and Anuar BK to dance Selena Gomez’s ‘It Aint Me’

 and Tom Jones’ ‘Delilah’.

A very touching atmosphere as everybody swayed to the music and felt saddened as we would be flying home the next day. We said our goodnights, had a few photography sessions

and finally at about 12.00 midnight we left the place for our hotel.
Good Night All
